NASCAR Racing
NASCAR racing has become a Passion of mine. If a race is on, I have to watch it. And not just the three top Divisions. No, for me if a stock car is on television, there's a pretty good chance I'll be watching.NASCAR Racing is my Passion. With a capital letter. NASCAR racing is the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing. There are several levels of NASCAR racing. Starting from the grassroots local level, all the way up to NASCAR Sprint Cup racing. All of NASCAR racing has a Sponsor. Each division, each team within a division, all have a Sponsor. Even the tracks all have a Sponsor. For instance: the top level of NASCAR racing is Cup racing, Sponsored by Sprint. So it is called the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The next level down is sponsored by Nationwide Insurance. So it is called the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The third elite Team is sponsored by Camping World. So it is the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Each Team within each division has their own Sponsor(s). The Sponsors pay the bills so there can be NASCAR racing. There are many forms of racing. Not all are NASCAR racing. Open wheel and drag racing come to mind. And on a lower level, there is ARCA. That is, Automobile Racing Club of America. But my Passion is with NASCAR racing. These are the cars you can go to your local car lot and purchase to drive. Not exactly the same as what's being raced, but NASCAR takes a regular stock car and conforms it to their standards. You can't buy a car like what's being raced, but you can buy that make of car. The NASCAR racing car, of course has a much bigger engine and is more aerodynamic than the regular stock car you and I buy. My favorite races are when the cars pass each other without bumping into each other. Some times the actual pass lasts several laps. To me, if you have to bump the car ahead out of the way to pass, then you aren't really faster. My favorite NASCAR racing, no matter the division, is side-by-side racing. Inches apart. At 200 mph. Neither car touches the other. Lap after lap. Until one of them pulls ahead. And the other crosses over and the whole thing happens again. That's my favorite NASCAR racing. I don't care for the crashes. Passing a car cleanly is racing. Forcing another car to crash to get by isn't my idea of NASCAR racing. I now have a NASCAR blog where I review each race and track on the NASCAR circuit. Check out these items: |
